The Orthopedic Center of Florida, a multispecialty orthopedic clinic in Fort Myers, Florida, has created a Podiatric Fellowship focused on Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery and Trauma. This training will include advanced surgical techniques in all aspects of lower extremity care, to be performed at local surgical centers and Lee Health System hospitals. The fellowship director is Dr. Andrew M. Belis, who is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons (ASPS) as well as First Vice President of the Florida Podiatric Medical Association.
