hold certificates issued by the Department of Health, Board of Podiatric Medicine,
that begin with a "PXA" prefix. Those assistants certified by the

this two year period, you must obtain 8 hours of continuing education, which
includes the 2-hour mandatory Medical Errors course.
The
Department of Health mails out renewal applications to both podiatric physicians
and podiatric x-ray assistants during the months of November and December, prior
to the end of the biennium. The current biennium is: April 1, 2008 - March 31,
2010.
If you
do not receive your application for recertification from the Department, you
can:

Contact the Licensing Division at (850) 410-3359. Please do not
call the Association. The Department of Health, Board of Podiatric

2.
Go to the Department's web site: www.doh.state.fl.us.
Board certified podiatric x-ray assistants are listed under the Medical Quality
Assurance division. Once you are at the home page, click on "licensing
and permitting of health care professionals"; then click on "Medical
Quality Assurance". Review the pages and follow the instructions
to download an application for recertification or to renew your certificate
online.

this information is helpful to you!
